Plastering and rendering in Barnstaple
Barnstaple has a real mix of homes: historic buildings in and around the town centre, Victorian and Edwardian terraces, and plenty of post-war and modern estates. Each needs a different approach – a modern skim on plasterboard in a newer house, or breathable lime in an older solid-walled one. Being based in Sticklepath means we can visit quickly to look at the job and quote.
Popular jobs include:
- Re-skimming walls and ceilings in older and newer homes
- Covering Artex ceilings in houses from the 1960s–80s
- Re-rendering with silicone, acrylic or sand and cement
- Lime render and plaster on cob, stone and listed buildings
- Damp and water penetration repairs

Red Sky rerendered 2 exterior walls of an end of terrace cottage. Julian and his team were reliable, extremely hardworking, professional and tidy throughout the job.
— Madeline Edmondson, Google review
We’ve used Julian a couple of times now, most recently for our lounge which was in a terrible state with some major holes and cracks. Julian was fantastic and has done an amazing job, our walls were skim coated and now looks like a new house.
