Plasterer in Ilfracombe
Your professional plasterer in Ilfracombe. Plastering, rendering and damp proofing for homes in Ilfracombe and the villages along the north coast.
Plastering and rendering in Ilfracombe
Ilfracombe is full of Victorian and Edwardian houses on steep streets above the harbour, many of them facing straight into the weather off the Bristol Channel. Wind-driven rain and salt air are hard on render, and damp from failed render or pointing is a common problem in older solid-walled homes. We repair or replace render with a system suited to the exposure, deal with damp at the cause, and re-plaster inside with the right materials.
Popular jobs include:
- Re-skimming walls and ceilings in older and newer homes
- Covering Artex ceilings in houses from the 1960s–80s
- Re-rendering with silicone, acrylic or sand and cement
- Lime render and plaster on cob, stone and listed buildings
- Damp and water penetration repairs

Red Sky rerendered 2 exterior walls of an end of terrace cottage. Julian and his team were reliable, extremely hardworking, professional and tidy throughout the job.

We’ve used Julian a couple of times now, most recently for our lounge which was in a terrible state with some major holes and cracks. Julian was fantastic and has done an amazing job, our walls were skim coated and now looks like a new house.
