Plasterer in Bideford
Your professional plasterer in Bideford. Plastering, rendering and traditional lime work for homes in Bideford and the surrounding villages.
Plastering and rendering in Bideford
Bideford’s older streets climbing up from the quay are full of period and listed buildings, while newer developments surround the town. Homes near the coast at Westward Ho! and Appledore face plenty of wind and rain, so choosing a render that will last – and getting the details right – matters. For older cob and stone properties, we can replace failed cement render with breathable lime.
Popular jobs include:
- Re-skimming walls and ceilings in older and newer homes
- Covering Artex ceilings in houses from the 1960s–80s
- Re-rendering with silicone, acrylic or sand and cement
- Lime render and plaster on cob, stone and listed buildings
- Damp and water penetration repairs

Planning and listed buildings
If your property in Bideford is listed or in a conservation area, changes to the outside – such as a new render – may need consent from Torridge District Council. We’re happy to talk through what is likely to be involved.

Red Sky rerendered 2 exterior walls of an end of terrace cottage. Julian and his team were reliable, extremely hardworking, professional and tidy throughout the job.

We’ve used Julian a couple of times now, most recently for our lounge which was in a terrible state with some major holes and cracks. Julian was fantastic and has done an amazing job, our walls were skim coated and now looks like a new house.
